Deeply soulful new collection from Joe Camilleri's main outfit. It's comprised chiefly of covers, the bulk of which are Dr. John and Allen Toussaint tunes. There's a heartfelt rip through Daniel Lanois' 'Ice', and a batch of new tunes that draw on the American roots vibe that is the core of JC's musical persona. Tough sounding production gives this batch of Bakelite blues a real whallop. One of Joe's best.
