Casiopea - Euphony - Coloured Vinyl LP

2026

Japanese crossover/fusion is heating up once again! Japanese fusion has surged in popularity since around last year, emerging as a spin-off phenomenon or an evolution of the global City Pop revival.

This is the group's 13th studio album overall and their second release on AURA, the in-house label they established under Polydor.
Having previously recorded overseas, the band opted not to feature any guest artists for this project; instead, they settled into their home base at the time, STUDIO JIVE, and produced the album solely among themselves.
The result is a fresh, spirited sound that sees the group returning to its roots.
The album is packed with new experiments, ranging from the live staple "Super Sonic Movement" to "Inishie" (Old Times), which evokes a traditional Japanese atmosphere; "Solid Swing," a techno-infused big-band jazz track; and the high-speed Latin-funk number "Red Zone."
This marked the final Casiopea album featuring the duo of Tetsuo Sakurai and Akira Jimbo.
