A wonderful trio set from pianist Cedar Walton features Walton's frequent and well-matched partners -- the mighty Billy Higgins on drums and David Williams on bass -- both players whose sense of melodic swing works perfectly with Cedar's piano, and also maybe even encourages him to have a bit more bite here than usual, especially on his attack, which creates a lot of subtle fire on the record.
