Featuring his powerhouse 14-piece Big Band, the album is a vibrant portrait of where Barnett is today, shaped by decades of performance, travel, and musical exploration. Brimming with swinging grooves, Latin flair, and heartfelt ballads, SNAPSHOT offers a glimpse into Barnett’s personal journey, touching on love, loss, friendship, heartbreak, and spiritual growth. It features four original compositions alongside a stunning selection of hand-picked standards, all arranged by some of Australia’s most prominent jazz arrangers,
including Andrew Robertson, Ed Wilson, Kelly Ottaway, Evan Lohning, Cam McAllister and David Basden.

With a career spanning over 20 years, Barnett and his Big Band have toured internationally — from Cuba’s Havana Jazz Plaza Festival to Brazil, New Zealand, and across Australia — while holding down a legendary 20 year residency at Sydney’s Unity Hall Hotel, where they continue to pack the house.
