The album Szolnok, was recorded with the violin whose incredible and true story it tells: Daniel Weltlinger's instrument from Szolnok was carried on foot from Hungary to France between 1920 and 1922. The violin survived in many parts of the world and was returned to Europe at the end of 2017 after 75 years. It was literally worn all over the globe - from Budapest and Vienna via Marseille and Casablanca to Sydney and Berlin. And so the album consists of a mix of mostly original material that includes jazz, classical, folk and free improvised influences from the music and songs that Weltlinger's grandfather played on the violin.
The album follows the historical journey of the instrument and tells a story about time, continuity and most importantly about progressing. It is a story for eternity.
