This release collects a number of Boyd's sides from labels like Chess, J.O.B., Bea & Baby, Herald, and Keyhole, all from the '50s-'60s.

Boyd is probably best known for writing "Five Long Years", which has become a standard in the blues genre. But songs like "24 Hours", "Third Degree", and several others here are all great examples of Boyd's skill as a composer, arranger, singer, and musician.
