Eric Dolphy with Mal Waldron & Ron Carter - Where? + The Quest

This release presents two complete original albums featuring the great Eric Dolphy in a small group format with Mal Waldron on piano and Ron Carter on cello & bass. Both albums were recorded within a one-week period in June 1961. 'Where ?' was issued under Ron Carter's name, while 'The Quest' was made under the leadership of Mal Waldron. Booker Ervin on tenor saxophone (on The Quest only) bassists George Duvivier and Joe Benjamin (one on each album) and drummer Charlie Persip (on both albums) complete the personnel.
