Gianluigi Trovesi, Paolo Damiani & Ettore Fioravanti - Old and New Dances

In 1985, the Gianluigi Trovesi Trovesi Trio's record "Dances" won the "Top Jazz" referendum held among readers of "Musica Jazz" and "Musica & Dischi" magazines as the best jazz album of the year. Forty years later, this historic trio has created the new project "Old And New Dances" produced by the Fondazione Musica per Roma. The repertoire draws on the group's historical pieces written by Trovesi, while new compositions by the three artists draw new scenarios, based on interplay and a sense of risk, the deep desire to imagine together other sounds, new poetic landscapes.
