Both albums present well known standards with the inimitable arranging style of Gil Evans, and feature jazz stars like Johnny Coles, Cannonball Adderley, Curtis Fuller, Jimmy Cleveland, Budd Johnson, Paul Chambers, Philly Joe Jones, Art Blakey, and Elvin Jones.
