Percussionist Kahil El’Zabar has created an impressive body of recordings with The Ritual Trio and Ethnic Heritage Ensemble, recording with Pharaoh Sanders, Archie Shepp, Joseph Jarman and Kalaparusha Maurice McIntyre on numerous Delmark releases. Billy Bang was a member of The Ritual Trio and returned for Big Cliff, which received a four-star review from Down Beat.
