This is a live recording of a performance given on the fourth day of "Five Days In Jazz" held in Tokyo in May 1975. The performance, given under the heading "An Evening for Ellington" was dedicated to Edward Kennedy Ellington, who died of pneumonia in columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York on May 24, 1974.
