Rahsaan Roland Kirk - Seek & Listen: Live at the Penthouse / 2CD set

Never-before-released recording recorded live at the Penthouse jazz club in Seattle on September 8 and 15, 1967 with pianist Rahn Burton, bassist Steve Novosel and drummer Jimmy Hopps. This infectious music was originally recorded by radio DJ Jim Wilke for KING-FM radio. Transferred from the original tapes and restored and mastered by Matthew Lutthans at The Mastering Lab. 

The deluxe limited 2-CD edition includes an extensive booklet with rare photographs and liner notes from Jan Persson, Tom Copi, Rolf Ambor and others, newly commissioned liner notes by authors John Kruth and May Cobb, and interviews and testimonials from saxophone icons James Carter and Chico Freeman, trombonist Steve Turre, Dorthaan Kirk, Adam Dorn - son of long-time Kirk producer and champion Joel Dorn, and others.
