Superb funky jazz slbum from organist Shirley Scott recorded for Cadet in 1973. ‘Hanky’s Panky’ is a an 8 min barnstorming dancefloor jazz killer, with great organ, trumpet and Sax solos from Shirley, Jimmy Owens and Ramon Morris. ‘Liberation Song’ is also a great original track. The incredible uptempo covers of ‘Superstition’, ‘Last Tango in Paris’ and ‘People Make the World go round’ take well known songs and take them to another place. With fantastic grooves and playing throughout this has to be one of Cadet’s finest albums
