This is an oddball release but at the same time a complete killer. It was originally released on the Three Blind Mice label back in 1973. Its actually a live album split between Shuko Mizuno Combo and Toshiyuki Miyama & The New Herd - both utilizing a host of special guests, many of them crossing over between bands.
The Shuko Mizuno side features Kazumi Watanabe destroying on electric guitar - total wah wah madness. His foil is electric violinist Raymond Cheng. Lots of back and forth between them and you've got a big horn section blaring away. The flip side features the legendary Toshiyuki Miyama & The New Herd big band ensemble with a load of guests also including Kazumi Watanabe on guitar. Its a 27 minute track that allows Watanabe to stretch out and really tear it up.
