AAA Lacquers Cut from the Original Master Tapes by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio.
Pressed at RTI

Sonny's Dream (Birth of the New Cool) is a 1968 album by jazz sax player Sonny Criss, released on Prestige. The altoist is backed for the set by a nonet arranged by the great Los Angeles legend Horace Tapscott. The arrangements are challenging but complementary to Criss' style, and he is in top form on the six Tapscott originals. Featuring cuts written and arranged by Horace Tapscott, Criss is joined by Conte Candoli, Teddy Edwards, Tommy Flanagan, and more.

Identified by The Penguin Guide to Jazz as part of their "core collection," this new edition is released as part of the OJC Series on 180-gram vinyl pressed at RTI with all-analog mastering from the original tapes at Cohearent Audio and Stoughton tip-on jacket.
