Tom Scott & the L.A. Express - Tom Scott & the L.A. Express / Tom Cat / New York Connection / 2CD set
2014 UK CD collection
Three mid-70s albums from acclaimed saxophonist Tom Scott. ‘L.A. Express’ was the band’s first recording for Lou Adler’s Ode Records label, and features Larry Carlton and Joe Sample. Robben Ford replaced Carlton for ‘Tom Cat’ whilst the band were backing Joni Mitchell.
‘New York Connection’ sees Tom on his own without The LA Express, but accompanied by the likes of Bob James and Michael Tee.
Digitally remastered and slipcased, and with extensive new notes.
