Willie Nelson - Ride Me Back Home
to be released in June 2019
The new album “Ride Me Back Home,” is coming June 21st.
The title song, co-written by Sonny Throckmorton, a Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame member, is a heartbreaking tribute to horses who have seen better days (“Now they don’t need you/There’s no one to feed you/There’s fences where you used to roam/I wish I could gather up all of your brothers and you would just ride me back home.”)
It includes three new co-writes with longtime collaborator Buddy Cannon and a new rendition of his 1972 track “Stay Away From Lonely Places.” There are also covers of Billy Joel’s “Just the Way You Are,” Guy Clark’s “My Favorite Picture of You,” and more.
