Wind Loop Case is a track-making project by Yusuke Shima, a leading trumpeter, flutist, and producer in Japan’s contemporary jazz scene. His 2019 collaboration with trackmaker re:plus, "Prayer," which sparked his activities, has been a global hit, reaching over 4.8 million streams on Spotify alone.
Shima’s solo project, Wind Loop Case 1, released in 2023, has racked up over 500,000 streams on Spotify. The sequel, "Wind Loop Case 2," will be released exclusively digitally on December 19, 2025. A complete CD album of both works is finally released.
Shima himself handles everything from trumpet and flute to programming and mixing, and the album features guests Yusuke Kono (Pf), Mutsumi Sugiura (Ba), and Jun Otsu (Dr) from Shima’s main project "Silent Jazz Case," as well as guest vocalist Ayuko Namihira, creating a unique sound that crosses the boundaries between jazz and beat music. This album allows you to experience Shima Yusuke’s new world of Jazzy Hiphop Beats through two albums and 18 tracks.
