The Banksia Trio's highly anticipated fourth studio album, 'The Great Noon,' featuring eleven carefully selected tracks.
Following their previous live album, this album captures the Banksia Trio's current state, further refined and polished.
Continuing the highly acclaimed "16-channel tape analog recording" x "digital mixing" approach from their third album, 'MASKS,' this album thoroughly pursues a "hybrid" sound that balances the warmth and resolution of analog with the depth of a modern mix. In addition to original songs honed during last year's Australian tour, it also includes new tracks born from the recording sessions. The title, 'The Great Noon,' is derived from Nietzsche's "The Great Noon." It symbolizes the moment when one's spirit reaches its peak—liberated from old values and nihilism, and fully affirming one's own life—and vividly illuminates the Banksia Trio's present state.
It feels like a long time ago that I was thrilled to see the Banksia Trio perform live at BAROOM and EACH STORY. Now, listening to their latest album, "The Great Noon," which represents the culmination of their continued collaboration, I feel that same excitement. The variations in their playing and the combination of the three musicians have been dramatically scaled up, making it incredibly thrilling. Just like with "MASKS," we've decided to introduce "The Great Noon" on rings. I'm delighted to be able to release yet another record that will be cherished by listeners.
