1999 CD reissue.
Lee Morgan brought flutist Bobbi Humphrey to Blue Note in '71, but it wasn't until her 3rd LP, Blacks & Blues (1973) that things began to click. The album (her 1st collaboration with arranger/producer Larry Mizell) has become an urban classic with tunes like "Harlem River Drive," "Chicago Damn," "Jasper Country Man" and the title tune. Considered one of the crossover cornerstones of quiet storm, this album now makes it's 1st appearance on CD.
