Kosuke Mine's electric album, featuring a distinct rock-funk sound, is reissued as the ninth release in the "Spin This Now!" series! This masterpiece shines thanks to the superb combination of Mine's wah-wah-infused saxophone and Mikio Masuda's psychedelic keyboard work.

East Wind was a groundbreaking jazz label established in 1974 through a full-scale partnership between Ai Music and Nippon Phonogram. Over a period of about five years, the label produced albums not only by Japanese musicians such as Masabumi Kikuchi, Sadao Watanabe, and Terumasa Hino, but also by artists who were driving creative activity in the global jazz scene at the time. Beyond the musical quality, the artwork—created by top designers and photographers—offered a fresh aesthetic that revolutionized the image of jazz albums and exerted a significant influence on future record production.
