Toshiyuki Sekine Trio - Longing - Vinyl LP
Japanese Import - Limited Edition
2026
This is the latest release from pianist Toshiyuki Sekine, who is currently enjoying a major resurgence in popularity—particularly across Asia—thanks to the reissues of his classic albums *Strode Road* and *Love for Sale* (both originally released in 1978). A treat for piano trio and vinyl enthusiasts alike, the album features a collection of straight-ahead jazz originals and standards—including the beautiful title track "Longing"—crafted with a meticulous focus on groove and melody. It is a record that invites repeated listening. The album was recorded at "NK Sound Tokyo," a studio featuring a magnificent Fazioli piano.
